Honey Garlic Butter Chicken

Tender chicken thighs with a sweet, salty, sticky home made sauce!

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Marinate chicken in about 2 - 3 tbs soysauce and or oyster sauce, and garlic powder mixed well into the chicken, for at least 30 mins.
  2. Step 2: Once marinated, pour the corn starch over the chicken and re mix the chicken around.
  3. Step 3: Mix the 1/4 of soy sauce, water, honey, and the minced or grated garlic in a bowl
  4. Step 4: In a skillet heat 2 tbs of oil.
  5. Step 5: When ready place chicken thighs single layer on pan and cook 3-4 minutes each side.
  6. Step 6: Do intervals if your pan is not large enough for all chicken to be on it with space around them.
  7. Step 7: Once chicken is done removed from pan onto a plate
  8. Step 8: Lower heat to low or low medium depends on your stove top.
  9. Step 9: Melt 3 tbs of butter into the pan.
  10. Step 10: Once melted add the sauce mixture and raise heat a tad if it does not bubble up quick
  11. Step 11: Sauce may get frothy looking which is fine use a whisk or wood spoon to mix around and scrap the goodies off pan
  12. Step 12: Once bubbly and mixed well cook for 2-3 minutes then add chicken back
  13. Step 13: Once the chicken is back in this will thicken up the sauce due to the cornstarch coating the chicken still
  14. Step 14: Cook again for about 3 minutes as it bubbles.
  15. Step 15: Turn off hear or remove from heat.
  16. Step 16: Servce alone or over rice, try garnishing with green onion and or sesame seeds!
