
No Wait Sugar cookies

Ingredients
- Butter: 1 cup
- White sugar: 1 cup
- Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
- Almond extract (optional): 1/2 tsp
- egg: 1 large
- baking powder: 2 tsp
- salt: 1/2 tsp
- Flour: 3cups
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°
- Step 2: In the bowl of your mixer cream butter and sugar until smooth (about 3 mins)
- Step 3: Beat in egg and extract(s) - almond is purely optional I dont taste a difference with it
- Step 4: in a seperate bowl combine with a whisk baking powder salt and flour
- Step 5: Add about a 1/2 a cup at a time to the wet ingredients.
- Step 6: *IF the dough looks crumbly keep mixing for 30-60 seconds longer. The dough should be pulling away from the sides of the bowl of the mixer
- Step 7: If the dough is too stiff pull out of mixer and turn out on a lightly floured countertop may need to wet hands to finish kneading
- Step 8: Divide into workable batches (2-3 chunks)
- Step 9: Roll out onto a floured surface - keep the dough about 1/4 inch thick
- Step 10: Bake at 35° for 6-8 minutes
- Step 11: Let cool on the cookie sheet until firm and then transfer to cooling rack
