
Basil Pesto
Lovely aromatic Italian basil pesto!

Ingredients
- Italian Basil (leaves - removed from stems): 2 cups
- Pine nuts (can use walnuts or cashews): 1/2 cup
- Lemon Juice (fresh or bottled concentrate): 2 tbs
- Garlic: 1 clove
- Coarse Ground Black Pepper: NaN to taste
- Sea Salt (coarse or fine): 1/4 tsp
- Olive Oil: 1/4 cup
- Grated Parmesan: 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Step 1: Lightly toast the nuts of choice however this is optional
- Step 2: In a blender or processor add the nuts, lemon, garlic, salt, and pepper and pulse until well chopped.
- Step 3: Next add in the basil and pulse until combined
- Step 4: Lastly run the device and drizzle in the oil and cheese until blended well.
- Step 5: If desired add 1 more tablespoon of oil for a smoother consistency.
